Nutritive value: It is the figure which express how much percent/fraction of total nutrient present in fodder/herbage is actually utilize by the body of animal for different purpose (Maintenance, Production, Reproduction etc.)
Palatability: It means tolerable, acceptable and tastiest. Less palatable, less nutritive value. Consumption: Greater the consumption, greater the nutritive value. Digestibility: Greater the digestibility greater the nutritive value. Species of animals: Ruminants have more digestibility than non ruminant so increase nutritive value.

Level of feeding: Quick rate of passage-less action by enzyme- less breakdown- less nutritive value. Processing: Chopping, grinding, soaking, cooking etc. increases nutritive value. Feed composition: For eg- Oxalate reduce digestibility, bind dietary ca and mg to form inloluble form. high fiber+ less protein- less digestible.
